Importance

Patches are often found in arable crops, especially fodder crops and grassland e.g. clovers. Dislikes drought and waterlogging.

1. Cotyledons are large and pointed.

2. First true leaves are blue/green, hairy and downy. They are also lance-shaped and taper at the base.

3. An erect annual with large white flowers with a distinctive calyx behind the petals.
